Kj Choi Putter
Why does my Putter with the superstroke putting grip make weird sounds?

I have a superstroke putting grip like KJ Choi and I love it cause it keep my hands real light on the putter but when I strike the ball it makes a “tink” noise like it’s hollow or something. It never did that with the smaller grip. I have a Rife Putter and a Scotty Cameron studio. It does it with both Putters. I just want to know how come or if anyone knows how to fix????? Thanks

The noise is the same sound that a club makes when it doesn’t have a grip on it. The sound is deadened by a normal rubber grip that is in contact with the steel. This is not the case with the superstroke that isn’t bonded to the shaft like a rubber grip. You might try to wrap some foam tape used by plumbers on the shaft to deaden the tink. It shouldn’t effect the weight too much and is worth a try.
