Can a Ping Putter ally i shaft be removed? Can any shaft on any club be removed?

Tell me how they put on new shafts if they can!

Most shafts can be removed, however Ping makes it very complicated to replaced their shaft.
Most Putters have a hosel that the shaft slides directly into, and is then glued in place. Ping actually has a ball bearing in the hosel that the shaft then fits over, making it very difficult to re-shaft without sending it back to Ping. If you do send it back, they will remove the old shaft and install a completely new shaft and ball fitting. The best reason for Ping to do this with their putters is it ensures that you have to send the club back to them (at their fee) for replacement parts. Pretty sneaky, huh?
Now on any other standard club, you simply apply direct heat to a clamped clubhead until the glue breaks loose. However you have to be really careful with drivers these days as many of the carbon crowns will actually melt if you heat the head.
Best to trust shaft work these days to certified repair centers or simply back to the manufacturers, as graphite shafts, specialized ferrules and carbon components have made things very tricky.
