Putter Design
Is it possible for me to become a professional golfer even though I only started playing at age 24?

I am 24 years old and just started playing golf about 2 months ago. On my 2nd ever trip to a full size golf course, I shot a 98 and have hovered in the 90’s for the 3-4 trips since to full courses. Also, at the local par 3 golf course (difficult par 3 course designed by Jack Nicklaus) that also has a couple par 4’s, I consistently shoot between E and +10. In the short time I’ve played, I’ve learned to drive the ball between 260-310 yards, have already learned to consistently draw and fade the ball and have become a fairly consistent Putter. The only part of my game which really holds me back currently is my game under 60 yards to the green. I am very dedicated and able to put in a good 2-4 hours per day to practice and am wondering if I even have a shot at someday joining the PGA Tour or even Nationwide Tour based on my mentioned progression. Your thoughts and opinions are very much appreciated!

It is not totally out of the realm of possibilities, BUT, the deck is stacked against you. You must be able to shoot par or better consistently and under tournament conditions. Tournament golf is a whole different cat. You find yourself in pressure situations you don’t get when playing the “guys”.
Keep in mind, the pros earn their living playing the game. It’s their job. In your job, you are typically working an eight hour day. To play tour caliber golf, you should invest similar quality time as you would any other job where you would expect to get paid. Good luck.
