Need help with club set to buy?

I am now finally shopping for my first set of clubs and am torn between companies. They all claim that their clubs have the most forgiveness but which one really does? I am trying to choose between Cleveland, Cobra, and Taylor Made Burner 09 series. Should my driver, woods, hybrids, and irons all be from the same company or does it matter about mix-n-match? I definitely am going with Cleveland CG14 wedges and the Odyssey White Hot Sabretooth Putter though. Also on the wedges, what lofts should I get for a PW,GW, and LW? I am a beginner but want a set that will last for years and even help me to become competetive at some point. Thanks for your help

If you are a beginner, then you need to go with what looks good to you.

That may sound superficial but if you like the way they look you will have more confidence in playing.

I would make my first set be a match, after you have a few lessons and are playing on a regular basis then you can make changes to match your game.

Go with what feels good to you
