Is it time For Tiger to change Putters, Balls?
It is obvious the world thinks tiger is in a slump, a slew of 2nd places, real slumpy… However i see that he has lost his edge with the Putter. Could this have been because of the ball change this year? Or is it finally time to put The Studio Select Newport 2 Scotty Cameron away? Or is that Ping Grip so worn that there is no feel left in it? I see great things if Tiger goes back to the NIKE One Platinums. That is the only thing i see different in his game. What are your thoughts?
BTW The Titleist Putter is the only club that tiger does not have a contract for, he uses that of his own accord. This i found on Golf.com
yeah somethings gotta give. I mean come on. I have definitely been in Tiger’s corner all year. People have said he’s slumping and he’s not the same Tiger even when he leads the tour in money and wins. Its ridiculous. But what we saw this weekend was really big. The one part of tigers game that always saves him is that putter. And for the best clutch putter in the history of the game, to flat out blow a 6footer on the 72nd hole is wild. I mean, maybe even a monumental miss for Tiger. That said, I don’t think he’s off his game, i just think he needs to shake it up a little bit. Maybe a shiny New Putter would do the trick. I like the Never Compromise Exchange Series #6, give it a try Tiger, if ur reading this.
