Heavy Putter Golf
Do you have to have some kind of arm strenght to throw disc golf disc, to throw it far?

I know that they are not heavy, but when I throw them, they did not go far at all. Now I’ve only played once, and it was my first time. All nine wholes I was awful. everyone else was able to get it real far, and some got it landed right in the baskets. So how do I get it far? Also can anyone tell me the difference between each disc’s, The Putter, driver, and the mid ranges?

i agree with the other posters who say that it’s all about mechanics, but they’re missing the most important thing – snap.
simply put, the disc will remain aloft and on it’s flight path as long as it’s spinning quickly. once the spin slows the disc will fade and fall. we refer to this spin as Z’s. The more Z’s you put on a disc the longer it glides. Z’s are generated more by the snap of the wrist than anything else. that’s why some folks can throw forehand as far or further than a backhand. no approach, no big arm movement or torso twist, just a solid wrist snap. think about snapping a towel. that hard wrist snap is what it’s all about. yes, the other stuff is important, but tops on my list is the snap.
