Titleist 755
How are the Callaway X-20 tour irons?
I am looking to get a new set of irons because I gave my x-12 pro series to a relative because my grandfather said he would buy me a new set. I was looking at Titleist 755’s, but am now leaning more toward callaways since I loved the x-12’s so much. Also, should I go with a FT-3, or stick with the Titleist Driver.
X-20 Tour is an excellent set of irons. I did a 5 day demo on my home course through Golf Club Demo on the Golf Galaxy website. I fell in love with the irons immediately. I play to a 4 and find the irons workable in both directions. The Project X Flighted Rifle shafts are the bomb (I put 6.5s in mine) and are definitely the right set up for this set. I think the best driver going right now is the TaylorMade r5 TP with the Mitsubishi Diamana Rayon shaft (you can pick up both the irons and the driver up brand new on eBay). I paid $690 for the irons 3-PW($840 at the store) and $200 for the driver ($400 in stores).
